Percival is massive compared to the other horses in town. In the place Aldous immigrated to, oxen handle most of the heavy labor, so horses there are usually for riding or cavalry. Percival, though, is a cart horse and is bred for pulling.

Yeah. I read about 24-28 books a year, and I’m in that weird place. To a lot of people they are like, “wow you read a lot”, and they don’t believe me when I say, I really don’t.

But to avid readers they give me a smug yet fair, “That’s cute.”
