I think it's not really worth it for black and white, when it's easy enough to just invert the curves to your liking.

But I think it makes sense for colour for most people (unless you're a control freak like me and do manual inversion for that too).

Fair fair, but the Seneca turned out fantastic

I feel like that would be worth it. It's not terribly much to refinish, either. Now, replacing the fittings with brass to match that beautiful red and the wood, that would be too far. Or would it...?

"His mother, Félicité Garzon Delvaux, grew up in an 18th-century museum-palace, daughter of a curator and an artist — and regularly takes her son to exhibits.

'Art and museums are living spaces,' she said. 'Life without art is not life.'"

My current working theory, from my time in politics:

What a beautiful location as well, my goodness. I shall have to do some more reading about that one, the dissolution of the monasteries is always interesting.

at the restaurant before moving on. The core is about gentrification stealing our humanity. The reality becomes so heightened that the only thing that feels real is when that reality breaks.

And he was writing this in the 80s! Still compelling, and I find it somewhat relatable today.

I was reading Dance Dance Dance, and the characters feel desperate for human connection, but are unable to breach those barriers. That whole book is premised on a commoditized humanity. The main character complains about writing travel guides, and only being able to eat a single bite of food (cont)

It was sheet-only for the first fourteen years of production, so I figure it was optimized for larger formats. Of course it was redesigned a few times but they couldn't change it that much if that look was what the pros were looking for.

Every time I see it, I feel like it wants at least 35mm. Makes perfect sense to me.
