So I should probs introduce myself. I’m Jacqueline (no nicknames). I read a ton, travel some (13 or 14 and counting) and play around with photography. Favorite genres for reading are:

-fantasy
-romance (all of the sub genres)
-historic fiction
-some manga/graphic novels
In other news my reading habits are extremely chaotic. Basically nothing is holding my attention for long and I hate that.

So I’m reading this book and there’s three love interests and every single time they interact it’s basically the three Spider-Man meme. #booksky

Tonight I get to sit in on a zoom presentation by one of my favorite tiktok creators and this never would have happened if it wasn’t for my library hosting.

An academy for liars by Alexis Henderson is perfect for fans of creepy schools with secret societies. It’s akin to Vita Nostra and I have loved it so far.

In case you need to hear it, LibroFM is not a replacement for Libby at a public library because a library is accessible to the general public (open to ALL) and is FREE (they provide library information and services WITHOUT CHARGE).

Once you purchase access, it's a consumer library.

Claim by the White House:

The Supreme Court ruling made it “very clear” that Trump was “well within his constitutional authority” to carry out deportations under the Alien Enemies Act.

Robert Jackson Bennet has a new book out today! A Drop of Corruption is out and it was such a good murder mystery with a goofy cast of characters. www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

4/5: Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy. So this started off incredibly slow, partly due to the fact that I didn't re-read the first book to get a sense of the world, and partly because it ...

Watching rugby for the first time. Do I understand like 2/3rds of what’s happening? No. Am I having a good time? Yes. Also it’s the women’s league so that’s fun!

I need happy book recs. Nothing I’ve read recently seems to be hitting. Especially not this god awful historic fiction I made a bet with my uncle to read.

Currently listening to a book I know will be full on Zionist propaganda only so I can get my uncle to listen to a retelling of the Bible. I have a lot of thoughts and I’m 3% in.

This. This was my point. Without Black authors, the publishing industry goes backwards. And currently, almost all Black authors are indie. So if our organizing does not take indies into account… say it with me… we are organizing against progress. I am PRO leaving amazon. But we need to do it better.
i am seeing so many authors across socials post that it's been a terrible month/week for sales, some saying it's their worst ever, others saying they might have to quit publishing if this keeps up. and, like, i get all the nuance. i do. i'm only saying it sucks indies are being hit hard. :(

Reading If We Were Villains and it’s absolutely worth being confused by the theater heavy start. The writing is so well done.
