As we focus on the beauty around us. Believing everything will be alright is a choice. #BELIEVE

DEI should never have included formerly enslaved Africans freed from slavery. After 1865, their communities were destroyed by white violent mobs and rioters. They were lynched. They were forced to live in fear, housing burned, businesses destroyed. Heritage destroyed. Family name eliminated.

48% of the Hispanics vote went to Trump in November 2024 General election. In CA, it was Hispanics people who voted against the proposition that would have benefited Black people. Hispanics people have voted overwhelmingly for Republicans for many years and their policies.

Today, in Clinton, MS two markers will be unveiled. One for the Clinton Massacre and the other to mark the end of reconstruction. Interestingly, I never read about this incident in Mississippi History. 50 Black people were killed in 1875. Ulysses S. Grant, the President refused to send help.

After Obama won Republicans organized around, making sure they took control of state government to control redistricting. A book named "Red State" written by a Republican details how GOP in Texas took control of its government. SCOTUS years later held that partisan gerrymandering wasn't illegal.

I believe that before the two towers in New York were attacked using our own airplanes, Bush was warned that an attack could happen. He ignored the information. People died.

I wonder why the media 🤔 treats this Trump administration differently than his first term. NYT and the Washington Post documented the lies told. We can't rely on truthful information from this administration.

I am old enough to remember the anger of Republicans when former President Obama was trying to get the ACA through Congress. We heard It was too many pages.

So, the amount increased to $292 per month. MS may not have a universal mandatory work requirement, but income limits do exist. I would guess anyone working even part-time will make more than $292 per month and excluded from Medicaid.

The rise of the Klan in 1915 was fueled partly by patriotism...[and] reaction of white Protestants in small-town America who felt threatened by the Bolshevik revolution in Russia and by the large-scale immigration of the previous decades that had changed the ethnic character of American society."

When the KKK terrorized Black communities, they hid behind hoods. Why should ICE be allowed to hide their faces if their acts are lawful? Today, we see ICE hiding behind masks, terrorizing immigrants. Much of what the KKK did was state sponsored terrorism. www.britannica.com/topic/Ku-Klu...

McAdams High School 1970s to 1979 class reunion. We had a Western theme. I bought cowboy boots for the first time in my life. We had a blast.

Defense case: Cassie wasn't transported. These parties were local. Cassie didn't testify that Diddy took her out of the country for these "freakoff" parties. Question: Did money keep her with Diddy? What part did her career play in why she stayed 11 years. How many times did she leave?

200 universities joining Harvard in pushing back against the Trump administration. Where was this solidarity around Critical Race Theory, banning books broader attacks on DEI? Federal grants versus civil rights shouldn't be a litmus test for challenging Trump's power grab.

Nothing surprising about that revelation. When you look at the picture of Little Ruby Bridges, there are white people surrounding a child being escorted to school. It was hate for a hue of her skin. Nothing new under the sun from 1960 to now it's DEI.

Black people in India are treated as though they are the lowest in India. So, a female lawyer of Indian descent who votes Republican attacking voting rights of Black Americans is par for the course.

Interesting choice considering she comes from a country that has a permanent class/caste system 🤔 Wonder which caste system she hails from? People in India still discriminate against some people based in a caste system.

Mike Johnson won't hold them responsible for lying to Congress. Remember when Republicans lost their mind when Loyld Austin didn't disclose the extent of his diagnosis and treatment for an illness 🤔 they demanded he resign.
