I got this recently. What a great approach all of the musicians had to exploring tonal ranges, space, broken rhythms, etc.
Amazing.
Do you know it @jazzsnob99.bsky.social?

A very appreciative review from Roy Foster of The Poems of Seamus Heaney in this new @thetls.bsky.social
It was a privilege to speak to two of the editors, Rosie Lavan and Bernard O'Donoghue, at Circling The Square two weeks ago.

If I were anywhere close to the shop you donated to, I'd be on my way there now.
I can't walk past a charity shop even though I already have far too many books. My most recent find only made matters worse.

Claire-Louise Bennett is a good writer, but the material in 'Big Kiss, Bye-Bye' is spread very thinly and the secondary subject becomes quite tedious.
I don't know if it is entirely auto-fictional, but it has many of the faults of that form in which self-obsession replaces invention and connection.

I liked Ariana Harwicz's book, 'Die My Love', very much, and the film adaptation, directed by Lynne Ramsay, which I watched last night, did not disappoint.

'Lud Heat' has just been reissued by @swedenborghouse.bsky.social to mark it's 50th anniversary.

Watching Iain Sinclair walk the 'Lud Heat' alignment last night reminded me of my own Brick Lane to Whitechapel walk to see Hawksmoor's St. George-in-the-East, Spitalfields. Further on, I met a Dubliner who told me he was on the poster for Colin McPherson's The Weir, which had just opened.

Another of the all-time great musicians has died. I couldn't count how many recordings I have with Jack De Johnette drumming on them. I particularly liked his group Special Edition.
But there are so many outstanding recordings.

It's a great day to remember how important a translator like @ottiliemulzet.bsky.social is for those of us who can only read in English.
Without her superb translations, we would have missed so much of the great work of László Krasznahorkai.
