I took this a few weeks ago.
I’ve seen White Bellied Sea Eagles take sea birds before. I think this is a Black Cormorant. Possibly a Muttonbird. They can become exhausted during migration.

Bastards
The cormorant should not eat fish, its feathers have no oil. But still they do, fuck it, they like fish. And if that means time spent hanging around, drying, so be it. They are artists. They also bring us luck (though this is scientifically unproven and, frankly unlikely). I like cormorants.
Some gorgeous double-breasted cormorants by Canada Place in Vancouver Harbour. Fun fact, even though they dive underwater to hunt, their feathers aren't waterproof. They spend a lot of time stretching out their wings to dry themselves on land after hunting. #birds #photography

Really sad to hear about the demise of FuWo's print edition and a tradition of over 100 years of reporting on the clubs that nobody else ever really cared about. It never really fit to the modern world, but it will be sorely missed. This ones from 56. God knows why I bought it, but it's a gem.

This is a fantastic book, beautifully written, impeccably researched. Sam is one of the best. Highly recommended

This is a fantastic book, beautifully written, impeccably researched. Sam is one of the best. Highly recommended
Aaargh, I hate Köln. But though big congrats go to Mariann Noack on her Bundesliga debut - and her time will come to shine - I was happier to see the wonderful Celine Frank get hers. Celine has never complained as far as I know, while sitting out this whole season so far. She is proper Union.
