Tonally so very different, though. There is an air of satire to the Hiassen books that stuck with me, that I never noticed with Westlake I read (or Stark).

I started to go back and read some Xanth books, now that my brain had fully developed.
Piers Anthony stoked my love of puns, but also was a massive part of the casual misogyny that I’ve had to deprogram since.
