The full extent of the media training I got when I worked at Google consisted of two things:

1. Don't talk to reporters.
2. "Off the record" is not a magic phrase you can use to erase what you told a reporter.

Saw hackaday.com/2025/09/17/i... and remembered that, some 10 years ago, I put two pieces of aluminum foil in a book with a few pages in between, connected them to a multimeter, and showed that I had built a 1.569 nF capacitor.

And then I could change the capacity by pressing on the book cover.

I'm always saying that it's SO hard to find a Spanish speaker in the US who can proofread a translation.

"It is my opinion that anyone not at least thinking about benefiting from [AI coding] tools will be left behind."

That's why everybody using Java now had to deal with EJB in the 90s, or why nobody uses PCs now if they didn't use them in 1982.

And everybody who wasn't born yet is doomed. Doomed!!

I recently changed my ham radio callsign to AE2IT from KK6RKA because people couldn't believe there were that many Ks in a single callsign.

With a new callsign comes a new design for a QSL card. Since I'm a totally normal person, I probably spent about 15 hours on it, so I want to show it off. 🧵

I made some improvements to The Algorithm of my NJ Transit train locator map ( whereismynjtrain.com ) and, while I was there, I added the next stop to the pop-up that shows when you click a train.

NJ Transit has at least three or four trains running right now.
