@nationalvoices.bsky.social + @ipsosintheuk.bsky.social have been asking about people's experiences of NHS + how they align with the 4 "I Statements" used by @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social to frame development of the 10 Yr Plan.

Some big differences emerging for people with Long-Term Conditions.

3 of my favourite people all in same session about public engagement in the NHS 10 Yr plan.

- Robyn Chappell, @nationalvoices.bsky.social Lived Experience Manager
- @jessiecunnett.bsky.social NV trustee, among other things.
- Louise Ansari, CEO @healthwatchengland.bsky.social

Good luck everyone!

At the NHS England Cancer Improvement Collaborative event this AM talking all about the work they’ve been doing to improve admin! I’m sharing the findings of @nationalvoices.bsky.social @healthwatchengland.bsky.social @thekingsfund.bsky.social joint “Lost in the System” report.

Check out the view!

Great panel on women’s health at @hsj.co.uk inequalities conf.

Lots of love on panel for #healthwatch - whether it’s Louise talking about brilliant work done nationally on access to maternal mental health checks to the local network helping Trusts and ICBs gather insight on huge range of issues.

Front page of Telegraph this AM trailing one of the potential ideas for the NHS 10 year plan - with community health workers proactively reaching out to people with high levels of need by doing regular house visits.

It’s an idea borrowed from
Brazil and has real potential to make a difference.

Brilliant to see Minesh from @mindcharity.bsky.social on BBC Breakfast this AM talking about floated Gov plans on benefits for people facing mental health challenges. Very clear message - cutting benefits will not solve the real underlying problems and the costs will appear elsewhere in the system.

Follow-up story on today’s Telegraph front page about the Elective Recovery Plan suggests that smokers and people living with obesity face being “sent to back of NHS queue” for surgery.

I think this is a clear misrepresentation of “prehab” but there are risks in local implementation.

V angry piece in @dailymail.co.uk this AM on growing numbers of NHS Managers. www.dailymail.co.uk/health/artic...

As always with such pieces I think it’s useful to put the numbers in context. This graph from Darzi Review might help showing clinical staff increased by over 200k in same timeframe.
