Rhetorical question, I feel like I know the answer. 😂

I'm also looking forward to playing more over Christmas around meeting family. Gonna be epic.

Also this is soooo cool! I wish they sold this to consumers. How sick is it that you can get a really efficient video encoder/decoder in an M.2 slot!

Operating temperature is less than 35C. Insane. Even if it doesn't beat Nvidia the power consumption alone does make it really cool.

I did all of this on Linode, I don't have a physical card to hand. It's such a niche chip, there's very little documentation so even if I wanted one I would rather test it thoroughly in Linode which bills by the minute so I can throw the server away when I am done.

I haven't tried it with multiple concurrent encodes. I _think_ the Quadra can do many more simultaneous encodes. Like 32 1080p videos at once.

It's all too early for me to tell I need to measure things and test things more! But considering how much less power it supposedly consumes, seems cool.

Throwback map!

When I did a lot of rust in the past and went back to TS I kept typing if conditions without the "(" ")" and it wrecked me for a bit. 🤣

What would be super useful to know is if it's possible to set it up as a remote media processing node! Say, for something like Fileflows?

My main doubt would be with VMAF use cases which runs on CPU 😅

Coming back to this to realise I might be misunderstood on this. Drizzle is so much better than raw SQL _in JS/TS land_! If something ever comes out for TS that actually parses raw SQL into types I'll take that any day. 😂

大丈夫ですよ!😁 それはよかったです

Drizzle is so much better than raw SQL! Nice choice 😁

It works perfectly with my TV. Raspberry Pi's support HDMI CEC, so my TV remote commands are just forwarded to the Pi, and all the audio comes through my soundbar. No adapters. Just a Pi.

I haven't had the time to evaluate 4k content and stuff so I will follow up another day with how it all went!

While I LOVE this, there were a lot of little issues I ran into. And also DRM doesn't really work so Netflix and stuff is out of the question. But I only need YouTube and Plex so I am happy rockin' something as clean as this!

But I have ironed out the kinks and it's ready to go.
