This entire rhetoric of "Oh, maybe we're just being too confrontational towards the people who very openly want us to not exist" really isn't a winning strategy. Ask Victor Klemperer how well trying to be nice and quiet and complying works.

A detour on a train ride meant I spent an hour waiting for the next train, but it was a good excuse to watch a sunset. I sat alone with my thoughts at the unattended station. Not Japan but still Inaka vibes. Sometimes it's a bliss to be forced to waste time.
