What if Substack offered a PAYG package, starting at, say, £50. The reader could graze the whole site, paying the per-article fees, as set by the writer. I still buy print (FT, NYT, Prospect, etc) is because I don't want to commit via a sub, and have it all pile up, mostly unread.
