I got this game as a teenager after receiving a huge collection of NES games from my cousin. I tried so hard to make progress but without a manual my puny brain couldn't comprehend what I was supposed to do. It was really cool to explore though.

I only played the first one but the Venus Lighthouse and Saturos battle themes stuck out as peak GBA music

Something about the F-Zero games and I don't gel well. I acknowledge they are impressive racing games, but I suck at them and get frustrated when I try to play them. I cannot deny the consistently amazing music in them, though. youtu.be/Ise3eGYFWHA

I can think of too many to post, but the first one that came to mind was the Lynari Desert music from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I love all the music in that game, though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4vq...

Final Fantasy 7. I was convinced that the game was overrated, overhyped crap because the graphics were a little ugly and I adored FF6, which gets less attention. On my first attempt to play it I got bored in the amusement park area. When I finally beat it, I was able to understand the hype.

Currently putting off Elden Ring for over 2 years because I'm waiting for the "perfect" time to play it. I have this weird idea in my head that I should stream my first run through the game.

But there's one bigger one I did eventually play-

Only games I recall ever trading to Gamestop were Red Steel, and Sonic and the Secret Rings. Two games I had incredibly high hopes for, but was really disappointed in. I wanted them out of my sight and replaced with different games. Don't regret it, I probably got like 20 bucks for both at most.

I came here to post this

I'm a day late because it took all night to think of my favorite, but the Regalia from Final Fantasy XV is a good one. It was probably the most interesting thing in that entire game

Off the cuff I'd say Sonic 2. I was born into this world with an older brother who owned Sonic 1 and 2 on Genesis so some of my earliest memories are watching him play or trying to play it myself

Myau from Phantasy Star. First additional party member you get, is very relevant in multiple parts of the story, has healing and support magic, and is just dang cute.

I wanted to post the Sims one. The jingle for the burglar/getting fired was way too intense. Also some of the prank phone calls were really creepy.

When I got my first Desktop computer in my bedroom and it prompted me for a name I called it Phantasy Star

anyway now that comics and video games are just normal things to know about it's important to keep your edge by becoming obsessed with old yogurt mascots or the various appearances of elvira on 1981 television series "the fall guy"
