Now trying my game idea with 3D isometric instead of 2D. Will make a lot of things easier, hopefully I can figure out lighting and camera settings so it *looks* like 2d pixel art.

Proving out all the hard concepts! isometric 2d tiles, but representing a 3d world, and occluding the player properly!

Bevy is slowly making more sense. Now I can load the Tiled map, detect that it is done loading, then put the player on the start tile. #rustlang #gamedev #indiegame

Loaded up the player sprites and can move the little dude around: Now need to actually tie his position to the world tiles. Bevy is a pretty big paradigm shift, its weird. But will stick with it a while and see if it starts to make sense.
