I refuse to believe this is anything other than a scene from a straight-to-video Steven Seagal movie.

I like that this online bookseller has settled age-old questions about the authorship of Scripture. We have three "unknowns," along with "M. Ray Morris," "Leading Scholars in America and Great Britain," "Earl D. Radmacher Th.D.," "Tyndale Publishing House," and "Confraternity of Christian Doctrine."

You might think that’s a cat on the kitchen counter, but that’s obviously impossible, so you must be mistaken.

Thrillers became taut in the late ’40s, and have always been tauter than stylish. They were at their stylishest in the late ’90s; since then taut has had its ups and downs, but thrillers are unambiguously out of style.

Happy 285th to Jemmy Boswell, in many ways an insufferable prick, but infinitely charming and willing to live his life just to amuse us.

If they be two, they are two so
As stiffe twin compasses are two,
Thy soule the fixt foot, makes no show
To move, but doth, if the’other doe.

Not sure what to make of the fact that the US Department of Labor has embraced a 1950s softcore gay erotica vibe, but I’m here for it.

Ray Charles died a week or two after Reagan and the accompanying frenzy to put him on money. It’s a great joke, but it shouldn’t be funny. Brother Ray is far more deserving of a place in our money than many people who are there.
