I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.
18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

TIL: Admin. proposal (Mar.) for Dept of Defense FY25 budget: $849.8 billion. House OKed (June): $895 billion. Senate hasn't acted. Of the 28 reporting entities in the DoD, <half have ever done an audit that the Inspector General would opine about the accuracy of their accounting.
