It was that cold in *Kentucky* like a month ago. They dressed this guy up like he's hauling wood in Frost Punk.

Because I think that it is an interesting idea even if applied to other law enforcement agencies. Trashing small, modest proposals made by junior representatives with little real influence is honestly silly.

I don't think it does

The problem is that an unaccountable federal agency is Gestapo-ing their way through the country. The problem is not an admittedly very modest attempt to shed more light on their personnel.

Worth noting that there is also precedent for American sub skippers/sailors doing the same thing and not facing consequences. Mush Morton comes to mind, and though he didn't survive the war his XO Dick O'Kaine did and afaik never really faced consequences or even particularly hard questions.

Using that slightly more useful definition, and acknowledging that the Shahed is literally a cruise missile, only bottom right picture would definitely be a drone, top left might be if it has DJI-like Routing capabilities, and the ground boy can just eat it.

"Drone" used to refer to a UAV with semi-autonomous capabilities. An MQ-1 Predator is a drone because you can just tell it where to go and the aircraft autopilot does the rest, but something like one of the old 90s era Mastiff UAVs would *not* be because you had to fly it the whole time by hand.

To my eye, Scott is implying that UPS was putting off or neglecting inspections, but that is not what the prelim report is saying; nor would any NTSB prelim assign blame. That is for the full report that we will likely not see for another year+.
