A colony of Badhamia utricularis (Hanging Slime-mould) feeding on Bleeding Oak Crust on the underside of a fallen oak in Old Sulehay Forest. Three stages were present - the orange-yellow plasmodium, and both developing and ripe fruiting bodies, the latter dark-grey hanging on orange threads.

And all of this stuff is hiding from the rain under a tinder fungus.

I think I even see a fourth species, namely some Hemitrichia clavata mixed in with the Trichia varia, but I don’t have a clearer picture of that part.
The same slime molds but a bit more zoomed out so that you see the black one hangs under the bottom surface of a tinder conk.

Our mycologists were taken by surprise this week when a visiting researcher found a curious pink truffle-like fungus under eucalyptus trees in the gardens.
The fruiting bodies of Hydnangium carneum or the flesh-pink truffle are found just protruding from the soil’s surface. The lattice like internal structure is full of beautiful spiny spores. This was a fun find today!

I believe these are Insect-egg slim mold, Leocarpus fragilis, hanging out on the upper reaches of the stipe of this likely Red Pinwheel fungi, Marasmius plicatulus.

The stipe of this Red Pinwheel fungi is a dark burgundy from emergence to cap. Just a little distance below the cap is a grouping of 21 visible insect-egg slime mold that are a nice dark amber coloration and attached to the stipe by stems that appear to be around the same length as the length of the fruiting body. Back to the fungi, The gills are an off-white and don't appear to be too crowded. This is a composite focus stack of 15 different images taken with my Canon 70D DSLR

Growing on an Alder wood chip, a slime mold grows with a white, mucousy-looking base where the beginning of their white stalks (or feet) are beginning to appear. They're topped with little pink ovals. Each one measures approximately half of a millimeter tall.

Fruiting bodies of slime mold on wood. They are a continuous carpet of yellow balls, filling every crevice in wood like corn on the cob. In some other cracks, orange balls appear. It looks festive and colorful.
