Today we made Tang Yuan (dumplings served in sweet gingery pandan syrup) for Dongzhi - along with some other treats #Dongzhi #WinterSolstice #Dumplings
In a sauce pan- there are pandan leaves, pieces of ginger and dark palm sugar dissolving Pastel colour balls made from glutinous rice flour sit on a plate Cooked glutinous rice dumplings in more vivid colours sit in a water bath

There is a lot to celebrate at this time of year- we had the 8 cousins (and parents/grandparents) - create these colourful biscuits (no rules, a lot of colour and the tables are still sticky!) #Christmas #baking

I’m am officially on leave and festive baking is beginning- some fudge with my son for starters! #baking - with a short intermission to watch the scaly breasted lorikeet in the grevillea #BirdsOfAustralia
