I’ve been hoping to speak to Onogi-san in more depth in the future about Star Cruiser’s development.
He’s apparently back in touch with the game’s creator Kotori Yoshimura now (who I’ve previously had some limited success contacting in the past), so I have my fingers crossed.

I'm wondering if the other source, who was also in licensing at Konami, mistook Kojima's friendship with the Wachowskis as an attempt to win the Wachowski's favour. That could likely explain why they assumed Kojima was heavily interested in working on a game. I'm curious if John Gaeta knows more.
