I do find it odd that people turn their nose up at Russell Martin, who has had nothing but success in the Championship, but would be happy with JDT who had one Championship job and was a total disaster for the last three quarters of it?

Okay, what about the fact that the season before that he managed just 29 points from the final 26 league games? The guy basically coasted on his first 20 games for almost a year and a half #ncfc

That last paragraph suggests that Attanasio doesn’t trust him but what else are they meant to do? Whether we like it or not he is the best person we have to find us a new head coach. Who else is going to do it?

I remember 2005 - 09 well enough and I didn’t stop caring. But I was a kid, I now have more important things to worry about I suppose!

Totally agree, we have good enough players to at least finish mid table. However, Knapper still didn’t sign players that actually suit the manager he hired, nor did he hire a capable manager by the looks of things either.

The only poetic thing about this time is they stopped us one short of taking the overall head-to-head which they now claim again

I thought the same six and a half years ago when Lambert took over - thought he started the run so it would be poetic if he ended it. But no, still took another 2,000 days or so
