I think the number one reason I haven't managed to really progress in my watercolors is....that I don't paint often. But the second reason is I struggle with planning. Looking at the Ferngully artwork, using the white of the paper as highlights of dew on the leaf requires forethought and planning.

Shocked there aren't synced lyrics for every one of the Ferngully soundtrack songs. Quick backstory, I bought a "near mint" CD of the soundtrack, loaded it onto my Jellyfin server and most of the lyrics I can download are all static, except Toxic Love, which I get. Thankfully I can do this myself.

The fact that California has a city named after a Canadian province isn't that weird, lots of states have cities named after other states and even countries. What's weird to me is that technically all cities in Ontario Canada are closer to me than Ontario California itself is.

It is done. Loan approved, 2 cards paid off, waiting for banks to reopen so I can be sure I haven't hit my weekly limit before paying off the rest. First payment due in January. I will save roughly $100/month this way and be paid off in 4 years. Assuming I have a job In 4 years.

In looking up books on the history of gays in the 1930s-70s I somehow came across a fictional book called "Giovanni's Room" by James Baldwin.
After the first chapter, I can definitely say I'm not ready. Highly recommend from just that chapter alone. But I'm not ready, this is gonna be rough.

I have finally taken the first step to getting debt free. I talk about it constantly but never have the courage to try because what if I'm missing something important? Anyway, I have taken out a personal loan at a better APR than my credit cards, and a set 4 year pay off. Assuming it gets approved.

I get why people say "sorry" when their adorable shy puppy comes up to say hello. But it always sounds to me like "Sorry for the joy, won't happen again.". 😆

Ads were already irritating enough before I saw they didn't care enough to employ actual people to make them. Ads in general make me hate your product, AI ads make me want to avoid your company altogether.

Well this is a first for me, but I see it's a common scam. I just got one of those "We've been trying to reach you about your car warranty" messages as a physical letter in the mail.
No company name, just "Motor Vehicle Department" and "Final notice" which is funny as it's the first one too.

I like sleeping but I hate going to sleep. It's always in the middle of falling asleep that I tend to have my mild panic attacks. What's worse is that lately there hasn't been any specific trigger for them. Like where's my sleep paralysis demon when I need him? So here I sit, awake.

So the cool Affinity news is that it's now Free. The bad news is it confusingly requires a Canva account. I mean it's desktop software that supposedly can be run offline. I blocked it with my firewall, and I've deleted the canva account I made. We'll see if I can still run it in 2 weeks.
