This is hardly a surprise to anybody. I thought the point of focusing on existing health care coverage as a leverage point was that it would be politically damaging to Republicans to back out after agreeing to continue funding.

If anybody missed his 10/24 speech against Islamophobia, it's worth listening to in its entirety. He was already going to win, but it seemed a turning point in which he fully embraced his unique voice, representing, yes, everyday New Yorkers, *but also* specifically the Muslim community.

Beyond the unwavering affordability agenda, he's quoting Nehru, speaking Arabic, and celebrating immigrants and the ethnic diversity of NYC. I'm here for it!
