I concur. Peak Bunnymen. Ocean Rain is the sort of album that should be incredible, but, with the exception of The Killing Moon, something is just off about it. I think it’s the production. It sounds thin. Heaven Up Here, on the other hand, to my ears, sounds huge. Big love for No Dark Things.

Anderson is such an underrated lyricist. He’s still knocking it out the park today.

Love this band - and this album and its follow-up. I saw them a bunch of times. Always great. I remember one particular time in Bristol, 98 or 99. Muse were their support band.

You know I get why people like this, but I could never get into it. All the elements are there - great cast, good story, fx, weird as fuck. But no. And I know people love the ending, but Christ, it’s bleak.

I always think this album shouldn’t work, but somehow, it really, really does. Cheers for the reminder. I’ll give it a spin today.
