All I’ve ever wanted and more

For people who used to follow my rejections blog, my work has been declined many times lately, but I’ve also had a couple really flattering solicitations and, today, my first personalized, encouraging rejection from The New Yorker. Keep going. Let failure be a success, too.

There might come a day when I don’t buy every one of my former student’s books, but it’s hard for me to imagine that day. Such a lovely, contemplative, transitional chapbook. Pure Olga. ❤️

Happy New Year! Earlier this month I set an intention of holding a snake in 2025. This weekend, a friend bought me a handful of snakes to support this goal. And then I found out that, here we are, in the Year of the Snake. Hoping all of this means good luck is on the way. ❤️🐍
