I got shingles a few months before I was eligible for the vaccine. Vaccine made me feel miserable for a day, but I would take it every year if needed to not go through shingles again!

We have some and I find they often take a while to "learn" the system and how long it will take to heat or cool to desired temperature. The old reliable unplug (remove from wall for a few seconds) has worked for me to get it out of the cycles.
