Oh, my Lela how I miss you. Mere days ago we played fetch, and now you are gone. You chose to leave when papi and I are half a world away. My heart breaks that we could only talk to you and not give you all the love you deserved in person. Run free, wonderful girl. 14 years was not nearly enough.

Two weeks into the American Cancer Society's 50 mile dog walk challenge, and we have walked 40 miles together. Not bad for two seniors and one who's on the precipice 😉
