What the feck is going on in Kerry?!

I want to credit the map-maker/survey owner, but alas they are an anonymous Redditor so I cannot.

Outdoor lights are up.

Youngest son is quoting some arbitrary rules about 1st December to me, but you can't pass up a dry, bright Sunday like that.

Plus whoever climbs the ladder makes the rules round here.

I just kept choosing roads that took my interest. On a volunteering stint in final year at uni I found myself standing at the front of a science classroom in a boys' high school in north Belfast, explaining states of matter.
Felt right.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

This is a really beautiful event that I've attended at St Anne's the past couple of years, to remember my niece Lily.
It's a tough time for the grieving, so this provides welcome peace. I mostly gern throughout, and that's OK.
It's at City Hall this year. www.cruse.org.uk/get-involved...

The Nepalese sherpa on Gardener's World, living in Scotland since 1997, has the best accent I've heard in ages.
Great story.

If i could, I'd buy this for the whole population for Christmas.
I understand many wouldn't thank me 😁 but finding it so, so interesting.

I have such a clear memory of walking home from school along Rosetta Road in 1989 with my friend Averyl, talking about how blown away we were by this brilliant new song & band. Mani's iconic intro still alters my mood instantly.

Such sad news.

Intelligent and interesting debate, really enjoyed this at the Lyric.

(Probably makes no sense if your postcode doesn't begin with a BT.)

The emergence of this box of photos has reignited discussion in our family group chat about the photograph that my granda brought home from the war, of Mussolini's body hanging in a square in Italy.

I thought I'd imagined it, but siblings confirm they've seen it too.
My aunt has dropped off some old photos today.
Funny how the sight of a single item can instantly transport you back to your childhood.

Full on market day in Belfast. Urban Market at Halt, fleamarket at Ulster Sports Club, art market in CQ and the big one at City Hall.

I'm only planning to go to one, for some rhubarb and ginger wheaten, but big son may persuade me to visit another.

It was strange enough when B&Q were suggesting I might like to buy a flagpole, but something has gone quite seriously wrong with their algorithm today.

Granda Johnnie and Granda Davy (and my gorgeous Granny Dugg).

Both my grandas were young soldiers, luckier than many because they returned and had families, but affected by WWII for the rest of their lives, physically and mentally.

Four impressive individuals, but also...this colour palette 😍
Presidents past and present 🇮🇪

Surprised myself at how many of these I've snaffled from the open bag, on the way through the kitchen.
Better than expected.

If you believe either that Franklin discovered the double helix, and / or Watson and Crick stole her data, ask yourself how you know this. Then take a read of this article.

Two thirds through this now and while I'm loving the peak behind the showbiz curtain, the class battles and the absolute joy of a woman who knows her worth, I think my favourite thing is getting to know John and Barry.
I know there's sadness coming, and I don't think I'm prepared for it.
I recorded the audio version of my book this week, kids. This, along with the hard copy will be released in October but I’ve been informed you can preorder if you so desire. Have a lovely weekend! ♥️📚😘

The kids out trick or treating make me smile, but Samhain is an altogether more interesting festival than the North American import. The thinning of the veil.

Still never doing a turnip again, it's murder on the arms.
