Maybe I should sketch some girls for some inner child work — I remember in 3rd grade , I was fascinated that these two girls knew how to draw girls as if they looked like live bratz dolls on the page. Those girls resented me for trying to draw like them for a long time cause I was a boy doin it 😭
Going back to drawing girls was the best desicion I could have made

I agree w all of this but one huge challenge is the "build housing" part. E.g., there's lots of new housing in Jersey City but much of it is luxury and thus unaffordable. Even apartments and houses going on the market are priced well above what they were a few years ago & interest rates have risen.
At the risk of preaching: what blue-state residents have in their power is to make moving _affordable_ for more people who’d like to.
Undo restrictive zoning. Curb capricious regulatory costs. Build housing — so that people feel welcome and included in the communities their lives would enrich.

Everyone can’t afford to move. And no one should HAVE to move.
People shouldn’t just feel safe where they live; they should feel that they are vibrantly welcome and included in how that place defines itself.
Ohio isn’t a red state; it’s now a gerrymandered state like too many others.

Reminder that every disparity in the queer community is racial: housing, education, income, incarceration, food, life expectancy, etc
White gays have resources to intervene and they don’t. It’s much easier to keep black queers where they are so they’ll be grateful for $100 to do BBC minstrelsy.
