Let's say there's "waste" and "fraud" in the government.

Well that’s why every department had an inspector general to find and stop it.

But guess what? Trump fired most of these independent auditors who should be insulated from politics.

None of this is about waste and fraud.

Deleted after 20 minutes but this is the mindset.

It’s what is said in private among themselves.

This is how they think about the rest of the world.

No one is considered an ally.

There will be no discussion.

Remember: Trump cutting vital jobs/funding in 2019 led to 1.5 million dead in America. We could have closed our borders months earlier and been hit much less hard by COVID-19.

So what is he doing now? The same thing. What has he learned? Nothing. Did those 1.5 million dead mean anything to him? No.

Several months before the coronavirus pandemic began, the Trump administration eliminated a key American public health position in Beijing intended to help detect disease outbreaks in China, Reuters has learned.

Amazon workers in Quebec unionized last year.

This week, Amazon closed its warehouse operations in Quebec.

Amazon denied the closures were related to unionization, but it has a track record of crushing unions in America.

Union busting is disgusting — and a global problem.

Unions had gained a foothold in one of the company’s warehouses in the province, though Amazon would not say if there was a connection.

One benefit of very cold spells in winter is that it can kill or limit the spread of harmful pests and pathogens. I don't know yet whether this cold snap is enough to limit two of our major introduced insects, emerald ash borer and hemlock woolly adelgid. Does anyone know?
