I am liking the show too.

Here is a post from Jae-Yeon from about an hour ago.

And a description of Ep 5 noting that one participant will "struggle" to connect with others in this week's episode. I am guessing it will be Woo Jae?

How is the executive branch decimating agencies created by Congress?
February 14, 2025 at 2:24 AM
Executive Branch cannot decide how money is spent, that is the responsibility of Congress.

Congress has the power to appropriate federal dollars, and the executive branch's job is to spend it **as lawmakers direct.

Therefore what DOGE is doing is clearLY illegal under separation of powers rules

I'm glad the agents are taking the stand. Even if Trump is able to identify most of them in time through other methods, there was something particularly vicious in asking them to self report.
February 5, 2025 at 5:53 PM
YES, and at same time they are issuing these totally laughable threats. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I am glad people like you exist too, articulate and thoughtful even if cynical. I need that perspective sometimes.

Take care of yourself too.

The statement from Uncommitted Movement co-chair Layla Elabed
February 5, 2025 at 5:21 AM
I just saw on Twitter the horrible reply one of co-leaders of movement posted about Trump's Gaza "plan". And you are right about her. After seeing that, no, I do not want her to be allowed back into Democratic party. She cannot be trusted.

I would just say then, judge ppl on case by case basis.

Trump's triumphal entry into the WWE wrestling match, shortly after his election, was the first image I associate with his second term

This will be the second image I remember as capturing these times.
February 5, 2025 at 4:09 AM
I agree ppl need to be shaken into understanding how serious the current situation is

But laws and recourse to courts is going to be a very important tool in fighting Trump's actions

ppl have to continue to believe in our existing civil institutions in order to have any hope of surviving this.

I hope people are secretly recording some of what is going on. That is the only thing that is going to convey to general public the dangerousness of what is going on.
February 5, 2025 at 3:54 AM
To be clear, by "these folks" you are referring to Democratic Palestinian supporters who boycotted voting for Harris b/c they were angry about Biden Admin's position on Isreal?

you assume they have no interest in changing their behavior?

...that's who I am talking about giving a second chance to
February 5, 2025 at 3:51 AM
I get what you're saying. There was smth fundamentally immature and unreliable about their attitude. I didn't like it either.

I am just saying let's at least hear these ppl out and be willing to consider allowing them back to coalition. Sometimes we need to accept flawed allies.
February 5, 2025 at 2:15 AM
I just think the events of last 2 weeks will have opened the eyes of a lot of people and made them face the truth that they were wrong,
**and we need to grab this opportunity.

Instead of treating them with disrespect and shame,
rather accept them back with grace
to build the coalition we need.
February 5, 2025 at 1:32 AM
Stop, please. This is not helpful. Nihilism and the loss of hope - is one of cornerstones for authoritarian regimes.
February 5, 2025 at 12:59 AM
We don't have the luxury rn of rejecting any potential allies

I'm furious too; but we need to vent, then refocus anger on the real danger/threat. and let those folks return to Dem Party
February 5, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Netanyahu is sitting there smiling right beside Trump b/c he would like nothing more than for US to take personal primary responsibility for such violence in Gaza

Using US as his henchman. Ugh.
