Overdue but I met the wonderful folks at @smokelong.bsky.social and @lit-namjooning.bsky.social last month in Singapore! Also read one of my pieces (my first open mic!)

Was great fun ☀️

Started 3 new drafts and now thinking it’s maybe not a good idea (lol). But I’m happy to be working on new material!!

I used to love ‘tweeting’ (do people say this anymore?) but over the years, social media morphed into something like a spectacle: it’s where you upload your published, edited piece rather than the messy first draft.

So I became a lurker and never posted anything anymore… but I really want to!

Delighted to have my story, Lucille Ascends, take 3rd place in the latest @flash500.bsky.social competition! flash500.com/flash-fictio...

It came from a writing exercise set by the wonderful @noranadj.bsky.social at the @flashficfestuk.bsky.social last year (where so many good things begin) ❤️

I’ve worked with Jo before and HIGHLY recommend her. She is sharp, encouraging and so easy to work with - she helped to edit a piece that would later become my first published piece!

Joined a weekly writers session in KL and the café was such a vibe. Reworked an old flash and decided to submit it on a whim 🤞🏽

I fear it is true that writing with people really does help a ton!

If you're wondering whether you should promote your book or your latest publication now with all the chaos, the answer is yes. We need your words. We need to flood the channels with art and literature. So go for it, friends.
