You misunderstand the entire reason soldiers pledge loyalty to the Constitution and not the President. You’re literally recommending soldiers break their oath, the law, and defy the Constitution for their own benefit. They shouldn’t have become soldiers if that’s their solution.

I think one obvious modern expense that is overlooked is tech. Phones, internet, subscriptions are not just conveniences, they are requirements to participate in the job market & economy. And I’ve seen many data points proving housing, cars & education are relatively far more expensive now.

This data seems to contradict your article and your post.

They are obligated under the Constitution to refuse illegal orders. They can be jailed for following illegal orders. Would you rather be temporarily jailed for refusing illegal orders while they determine the legality or jailed long term and court marshaled for following illegal orders?

The good timeline is Obama bailing out Main Street instead of Wall Street.

This is definitely an accessibility fail, but the text treatment is so bad it’s not good for anybody.

Economics is a human construct. People claiming you can’t mix socialism and capitalism like they’re oil and water are pretending they are something more than rules for a made up game. You can indeed mix the rules. We’re not dealing with the laws of physics.

I’m not talking to you
December 18, 2025 at 3:07 PM
Absolutist black & white thinking on your part. Medicare and Social Security are not capitalist inventions. They are borrowed from the framework of socialism. Hence the term “mixed” economy.
December 18, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Economics textbooks have been calling western economies “mixed” for close to 10 decades. Look up the meaning of mixed economy.

This person isn’t here to find common ground or learn anything. He’s neck deep in right wing ideology and ignores the most basic common knowledge. He was using racist talking points on another thread. It’s time for block. Right wing troll.

Is Medicare tiny, too? Lol. I’m out. You’re a little too dense to understand the concept of mixed economy. Mixed economies exist in varying proportions. Capitalism did not invent social security or public health care. It directly opposes them. Adios.
December 17, 2025 at 4:40 PM
You are simply a black & white thinker and absolutist who can’t comprehend the established paradigm of a mixed economy (and its varying degrees) that were introduced during the threat of communist revolutions during the extreme wealth inequality of raw capitalism.
December 17, 2025 at 4:35 PM
China is just one example of a mixed economy. We are another. The way they are mixed is different.
December 17, 2025 at 4:06 PM
We already have a mixed economy where certain sectors run on free enterprise & others like VA healthcare, Medicare, Social Security run on government planned & managed collective socialist programs. European governments have even more. If you don’t want socialist programs like that, vote Republican.
December 17, 2025 at 3:59 PM
You have never heard of a hybrid car, obviously. You might even call it a “mix” of electric and combustion.
December 17, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Wow. Thank you. 😊
December 17, 2025 at 3:40 PM
He thinks social security is capitalism.
December 17, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Um, no. Everything you just listed is what socialism brought to mixed economies and what Republicans and the right wing hate about it. That’s what Reaganomics was all about: an attempt to reverse all of those elements that were added during the New Deal era. The attack on those continues.
