CA lawyer. Almost social. Almost gifted. Almost retired. Still learning new tricks. Disobedient in advance and at most other times too.
Now *there's* a template for opinions to follow:

"The person claiming to be U.S. Attorney was not validly appointed and has been disqualified. Please refile this action, if appropriate, in the name of a validly appiinted U.S. Attorney. To validly appoint a U.S. Attorney ..."
A civil attorney who Trump enthusiast Lindsey Halligan brought in to prosecute the Letitia James case screwed up his initial appearance and the court had to give him step-by-step instructions about how to save a PDF.

Democrats still want to win by appealing to people who would make good trial jurors -- you know, set aside prejudices, consider evidence carefully, all that stuff. Republicans win by appealing to people who should never be on a jury. It's a terrible game, but Republicans are definitely good at it
"You can't policy your way out of a propaganda problem" is such a good line.

Policy matters, but how you communicate stuff matters more right now.
I'm kind of shocked that anyone is still proposing technocratic solutions to the "debate" over immigration. Even if this were a good idea (and it is not), Republican elites and media will never tell their base about it. You can't policy your way out of a propaganda problem!

A good trial juror will set prejudices aside, consider only the applicable law and admitted evidence, and decide the case impartially. Democrats try to win with people who would make good jurors. Republicans try to win with people who wouldn't. Republicans understand the game better than Dems do.

Pretty sure that this is the first time a “One First” post has been cited in a judicial opinion—here, in Judge Thacker’s concurrence in the Fourth Circuit’s denial of the government’s stay request in Abrego García:

So the criminal grifter moron who can't tell political asylum from an insane asylum gets elected inmate-in-chief.

Only in what used to be America.
