Well, that’s my daughter dropped at her flat. Still a shit tonne of her crap at mine that I will need to tootle up and down the M1 with but the house will be so much more quiet and dull with her gone. She’s quite the force to be reckoned with and I shall miss her annoying the fuck out of me 😭

My eldest son lives in one of the former mining communities in Co Durham; where he lives, every single lamppost or pole has a crappy flag on it. Every single one. It looks tawdry and shit and god it’s embarrassing. Who ruined the pits and northern industries do we think? It sure wasn’t immigrants

Made a kind of Lahmacun thing with lamb, but rather than on a flatbread I turned it into, I suppose, a sloppy joe (eeeewwww) affair by shoving it into one of these buns with tzatziki, chopped tomato and red onion. If you can find the buns they are very delicious with many things (got mine at Tesco)

My youngest was homeschooled for 2.5 years. This mainly involved him teaching himself not just Spanish, but becoming obsessed with Spain, Catalan and Argentina. He can now understand the Catalan language and Argentinian Spanish and can tell you the differences. Neurodivergence is to be celebrated

When I sorted all my mum’s things out I boxed up all her books, to deal with at some later point. There are lots of Georgette Heyers, which I have never read, but which I will never part with because they were hers and her mum’s and were some of her favourite comfort reads in the world.

Going to Leeds on Saturday with my soon-to-be living permanently in Leeds daughter, to do cocktails and caressing of clothes in John Lewis. Well, not cocktails in JL unless they’ve opened a fancy pants bar. I’m hoping for the gochujang cocktail from my favourite place again.
