Not that I would disagree with Grok being shit and Grok being for idiots and fascists but it’s important to differentiate.

They are actually two Grok systems AFAIK.
The one on X got musked and is utter shit.

But there is also the coding model Grok Fast which is reportedly really good.

🤷🏻‍♂️ I know.

Do we have data on the percentage of botched circumcisions?
I have a theory about MAGA influencers I‘d like to verify…

Auf jeden Fall in's Publikum setzen.

Und dann lauthals beschweren, daß der Redner nicht auf der Bühne auftaucht...

You're not wrong, but a more realistic reading IMHO would be: While the OpenAI board are mostly all grifters (or rubes), they are not bottom scum sex pests.

(Caveat: I did not look up the board members and their sex pest status specifically. Just going with general impressions here.)

To recap: An analysis should focus on the actual platform and weaknesses of the candidate.

“The median voter believed lies about the candidate” is about the voter and their information sources, not about the candidate.

And an analyst should know how to differentiate.
November 19, 2025 at 5:09 PM
Harris never ran on a platform of providing tax-payer funded sex change operations for illegal immigrants in prison.

Thus having an “analyst” suggest that the platform was deemed too far left is not an analysis of the platform but of MAGA lies.

Not a trustworthy analysis I’d say.

There were a ton of effective attack ads run against the last candidate.
And no doubt they were effective. I am not sure though if they were super effective with the MAGA base or also with the nominal democratic voter.

But they did not attack real policies but lies ascribed to the candidate.
November 19, 2025 at 5:09 PM
If your arguing a straw man policy you made up in your head - seemingly based on Republican attack ads - it does not instill confidence in your basic analytical abilities.
A better approach would be to question Mr.Jenkins media consumption habits.
November 19, 2025 at 5:21 AM
I would be more inclined to put trust into any arguments about the Democratic Party brought forward by Mr. Jerkins, Jr. if he was able to accurately describe the past actions of the party.

The candidate did not run on trans rights. The they/them ad, while effective, was an attack ad full of lies.

I’m 100% with you on the delusional part.

But my impression was that this is an ipso-facto argument.
Trump is sucking up to the Russians because Trump loves authoritarians.

And then you have serious policy people expanding that there’s actually a plan behind sucking up.

Except it’s all bullshit.

Amazing to see such an example of US soft power.

Shame though, the country decided they don’t want that anymore.

Not gonna lie, it really did take me a moment.

It probably was helpful that the second time I watched the clip I actually had the sound on. 😂😂

Interesting. I kinda feel... seen. I use it to indicate a pause in speech. "This would be a... suboptimal approach...". That way I do not have to say "I think you're an idiot" I can let the reader draw those conclusions.

Interestingly, I've been accused of using ellipses in an aggressive manner. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Had the previous government, specifically Altmaier and Seehofer, done their jobs right, the necessary grid links would have been finished already and done overground at 1/6th of the price.

Because they didn't, people now pay the price for that political failure.
November 13, 2025 at 2:05 PM
c) My understanding is, that grid costs are mainly rising because of the stark difference in renewable production sites. The north has build a lot of wind while the south has not. This now requires better transmission links between north and south. And the locals want them underground.
November 13, 2025 at 2:05 PM
While the industry heavier states in the south are consuming more but are contributing less to grid extension and maintenance?

b) France has taxes but France also has high subsidies and prescribed pricing on Nuclear energy costs artificially lowering production costs? Something Germany never had.
November 13, 2025 at 2:05 PM
You're right which is why I said the high costs in Germany are more political rather than related to the production costs/choice.

a) Did you know that Germany is a single pricing zone? Which leads to the weird situation that the federal states generating more renewables are paying higher grid fees?
November 13, 2025 at 2:05 PM
And then looking at what actually constitutes energy pricing. 40% is energy production, 28% is grid fees and 32% is taxes.

Grid fees are going up partly because of political decisions to build needed transmission lines underground which does look nicer but makes things magnitudes more expensive.
November 13, 2025 at 9:10 AM
And then - on top of things - we have again the political decision that the energy for industrial customers (currently ~0,18€) is further subsidised (down to ~0,12€) for specific industries by residential customers which are currently paying about ~0,39€ per kWh.

That too is driving up pricing...
November 13, 2025 at 9:04 AM
Next, have a look at the system that determines pricing in Germany called "merit order system" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merit_o...) and the problems associated with it. (courses.renewablesvaluationinstitute.com/pages/academ...)

So to summarise: Nuke hating idiots is kinda missing the point.
Detriments of the Merit Order - Surging Electricity Prices
Increasing electricity prices and the Merit Order - A systemic failure in how electricity prices are determined?

That is, if France is actually able to sell them any Nuclear energy.
I remember half of their production capacity being down and they had to import Energy from Germany.

Again, only possible due to the interconnected grids. Yay for integration.
Situation of the nuclear power plants in France - how has the situation evolved in our neighbouring country since the summer?
In the summer of 2022, more than half of the French nuclear power plants were temporarily off the grid. Electricity production in our neighbouring country collapsed, France had to buy considerable amo...
