The 2day varied programme comprised oral & poster presentations from PhD candidates in the fields of hydrology, hydraulics, groundwater modelling, water quality & health, a workshop on proposal writing by Günter Bloschl, intense networking & even a tour boat w/ lunch on the Lake Neusiedl.

Over the past years, Steffen has conducted excellent research, within & beyond the scope of his PhD thesis, and has undoubtedly become a top expert in #modelling trace #contaminants in river catchments. It was thus an immense pleasure to finally celebrate & formally acknowledge his achievements

One more year to go and to investigate the requirements for bank filtrate and #treatment trains, and to assess their suitability for tackling current challenges posed by #emerging #pollutants.

It was a successful project meeting together with our colleagues from UBA - Environment Agency Austria, interested stakeholders from water utilities and representatives of the Federal Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management.
