.. the permission can be derived from our spineless leaders and lack of a coherent system of values, and quantified in a net worth in the billions.

But what gives you the right to decide the future of our species, and dictate that the things that make life worth living are to be stolen from us?

..bland, generic onmifruit in a lab. Or replacing all food with a pill. Or just do away with human life entirely to make way for the AI.

And here we get to the rub, in my opinion. The big question for these men is this: What gives you the right? Not the permission..

.. with the struggle of making music that he seems to think it's a problem for a .pynb file to solve.

It's not. It's in fact the point. The point is the struggle. It's as if you decided that the point of a tree was the fruit, so you decided to do away with all of the trees because you can make..

.. they're trying to take away ours.

Here's a thought, instead of trying to ruin it for everyone, how about you just shut yourself in a room, with a guitar and a DAW and with at your craft?

I'd like to offer Mikey guitar lessons and I think I might be able to help him fall in love..

..awkwardly to a girlfriend. The AI never had to find it's "thing" and focus on getting better at it, and the AI doesn't feel pride in putting in all of that effort.

Mikey over here and his wealthy friends have forgotten how to be human. Their wealth has destroyed their humanity. In turn..

..are trying to outsource the very point of creation to a digital brain. The AI was never bullied at school. The AI didn't come from a broken home, or cry over a broken heart. The AI didn't learn Smoke on the Water as a kid, or bond with it's Dad over the Beatles, or play a song down the phone...

You got what you wanted. Don't blame the EU for treating us as a third country.

Bill Bailey identified this surreptitious change a couple of years ago…

I've just started teaching piano (I'm barely a pianist, so I'm learning too!) and I'm re-enjoying your "Story of Music" doc series. I wish the BBC'd give you another series of docs.

Or maybe you and Bill Bailey travelling around talking about music and being incredible witty or something.

I have one I recently bought. A santa fe something of other. It's the other side of the room and the food on me so I shan't move.

I was wondering what type yours was and whether you'd reply.

Love your work!
