I'd like to propose an anti-lockdown.

For 6 months, the internet is STOPPED. All non-essential internet traffic is stopped. No socialising online. If you want to talk to people, you MUST go to the pub, or to a cafe.

Too many people didn't leave lockdown and they're all over facebook comments.

- *Whistles* "Julio! Get the stretch!"

- "Julio get the stretch, Julio do this. Julio do that. When does Julio get a day off? And can you stop fucking whistling? Julio might be the help but he's not a fucking dog, Bruno."

Bit late on the draw here, but I thought I'd contribute to the conversation.

Making music isn't something I do for fun or 'pleasure'. It's almost like a physical and mental need. I need to create to soothe myself in some way.

"I think the majority of people don’t enjoy the majority of the time they spend making music.”

So YouTube just recommended me a video of you at the comedy store, which I remember watching, stoned off my box on paramount when I was 19-ish. You did the "Your heads in my fridge song". Classic.

Anyway, I notice you're playing a lovely Takamine. Do you still have it?

Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters. Core memory unlocked.

A hill I'll die on. Frog's chorus is good, actually. You just have to listen to the version on Spotify. It sounds wank with the video for some reason. 90% more twee.

People are leaving Twitter because it’s not fun anymore and no one is obligated to be on a platform they don’t enjoy.

It’s not rocket science.

I just noticed something. The Premier League winner's trophy. It's... Well it's shite, isn't it? Am I wrong or is it just really tacky and cheap looking?

The Championship trophy, now that thing is classy and iconic.

I've been recording a nice version of Last Christmas by Wham! today. Really improving as a vocalist, which is incredibly gratifying.

Decided I was feeling a little Christmassy and thought maybe I'd watch The Muppets Christmas Carol. As soon as the first ident came on "nope! It's too early". Off.

Yeah, I'm not going to be the one to do it, but if someone could code a bluesky version of facebook, like it was in 2012, I'm sure we'd all be very grateful.

Yeah, so day one of trying to record myself a video of a performance. I performed Like a Stone by Audioslave while Dad was out (I'm in Boro helping my sis move house).

Ok, so watching back, there are positives but generally, I'm lazy with my pitch. I think what I need to do is to...

Quick thought. If bluesky can be a Twitter clone which is just like Twitter used to be when it wasn't fucking awful, I wonder if someone could make a Facebook clone which is like...

I better shut my mouth and get coding..

The goal at the moment though, is to get this website finished, that I've been coding for the past few months.

Honestly, I've been coding, then recording, practicing singing, I've spent a fortune on a vocal coach and I'm getting better by the day.

For what exactly?

Anyway, time to use this site.

So I'm trying to get myself a little career as a musician and maybe part my bills with it.

On Saturday I played bass for The Backup Band at a birthday party in Todmorden. We played great and almost nobody paid any attention. So that was fun!

Still, free pie.

Noticing that when people who still used X, they were calling it"Twitter" or they were calling it "X, formerly Twitter", and add soon as they left and abandoned the platform, just "X".
November 17, 2024 at 6:55 AM
Anyone else just given calling X Twitter? Like, fuck it. It's X and I don't post there anymore. Well done Elmo, you fucking weird man, you.
November 12, 2024 at 10:45 PM
Quick question, are we still using Tweet and Retweet on here? Or are we calling it some other thing?
