If ‘normal’ means ‘European parliament’, sure. 🇺🇸 began life as a series of frontier colonies that continued to be obsessed with said frontier long after those colonies rebelled against their empire and formed a republic. 🇺🇸 is ontologically freakish and always will be, for better and worse
