I've seen some people asking for Pinksky/Flashes posts to be independent from the Bsky posts.
If you want that, you should look at the fediverse instead. The magic of ATproto is having just an account for everything~

Do you think there's a world, that didn't happen, in which social media was built into an internet protocol?
So, meaning... individuals release comments, blogs, video, music, etc from a single source. And then social media acts as the feed, not the host. Similar to how RSS worked, and email works.

PSA: You can make the atproto OAuth flow look way less sketchy with this one weird trick…
if you’re using Bluesky OAuth in your app, change your metadata filepath to /oauth-client-metadata.json to have just your brand domain show up on the authorize screen rather than a suspicious looking url string
i think 90% of atproto apps don’t do this, seems to not be documented yet

This is what we mean when we say Bluesky is open: your identity and followers belong to you. It took 30s to sign up for this new, independent app, and everything is there.
