If you arrive in the UK, then fail to declare your presence & stay beyond 3 months without permission then yes, that's unlawful.

It was an eye-opening experience which instilled a football rivalry in me, that's it. In the same way I hate United, but have more red mates than blue ones. I'm not even particularly patriotic btw!

Local pubs had 'happy hour' signs saying "Come and support Scotland, Northern Ireland & England's opponents". I was physically threatened when cheering Lineker's hat-trick against Poland. I'm not anti-Scottish per se, but will always enjoy watching their football team being a national embarrassment.
