I guessed tonight's AMC Screen Unseen would be Richard Linklater's BLUE MOON, but it was the new movie from another filmmaker I really like, Kelly Reichardt's THE MASTERMIND. Part heist thriller, part dry comedy, part immersive portrait of 1970s America. I was really into it.

Was deeply worried that tonight's AMC Screen Unseen mystery movie was going to be BRIDE HARD. Thankfully, it was R.T. Thorne's intense post-apocalyptic action thriller 40 ACRES, with a ferocious lead performance by Danielle Deadwyler.

The AMC Screen Unseen movie tonight was FIGHT OR FLIGHT. Basically BULLET PLANE, it's dumb ultraviolent fun that gets by thanks to some creative fight staging and Josh Hartnett's charm. Also I want that strawberry milk T-shirt.
