I actually prefer working in office but have two (optional) WFH days a week. This is my main reason for using those days 💕

I feel really scammy about whats going on right now with tiktok.

It went away a day before it was supposed to and then almost immediately came back.

And the welcome back image say it was thanks to Frump…

When I started on tiktok my main focus was teacher burnout and my transition from being a classroom teacher. Before the ban, I was able to download some of my old content. Here’s one from 2022 🫶 #teachers #te

You see how we minded our business on January 6th?
Very demure.
Very mindful.
Very much not an insurrection.

I started my PhD in 2020. I was a full time student and teaching assistant for 4 semesters. I then transitioned to part time, changed departments, and taught high school again. Then I took a year off the degree. I’m back again to finish.

In 20 years no one will ask me how long it took.

Did you know that porcupines cannot shoot their quills at a predator? I just learned this at the zoo!

Unless you are a billionaire, you will always be closer to being unhoused than you are to being a billionaire.

So many people think they’re just broke billionaires.

Meanwhile, most people in the United States are one or two paychecks away from being unhoused.

Being a non-geriatric patient in the offices of cardiologists always meets you with judgement.
Most women who receive a POTS diagnosis will do so after an average of 5 years and multiple second opinions.
They just want to do an echo and say “look, no murmurs, your heart is fine, it’s just anxiety”

Before I quit teaching I was filled with a million questions and fears. I felt inadequate and unqualified.

Now that I am in the professional realm outside education, those fears seem absolutely laughable.

But to a teacher considering leaving, it’s very real.

This is a sign of toxicity.

Progress looks and feels different to everyone. In a lot of ways I feel like I didn’t “do” much this year.

This was a big year though.

I started pursuing medical care for invisible chronic illnesses.

I stopped living paycheck to paycheck.

I resumed working on my PhD.

These are big things 🫶

I saw a new cardiologist today. Two months ago, I saw a cardiologist for the first time, and he was horrible. He was dismissive of my symptoms and told me that he thought I had depression.

Today I had a completely different experience, and have been referred for the proper testing that I needed.

This was my first car. A 2002 Subaru Outback. If I could buy it again tomorrow I would.

It feels weird that this was 15 years ago.

I asked ChatGPT to make a picture of an ordinary day in my life. It’s pretty close! One more Maine Coon, and a lake front property and we are there!

Maine Coon, 10/10 would recommend. Except from 5-7 a.m. because they are a different creature
