Chapter three titled “from my first breath to her last” sounds like an interesting horror read but it’s another boring chapter of this extremely religiously motivated book. Sandy dies and we meet Pam Stenzel (infamous evangelical speaker). There are also lots of Richard mourdock apologetics?

Each chapter features a bible verse, some relate to the context of the chapter but mostly these seem random. We learn of her sisters tragic backstory and Monica’s struggle with identity (which is forgotten almost immediately in favor of telling us about her close relationship with her adoptive dad.)

I did something brave today. I messaged the judge who signed my adoption order, who retired from the court and now lives in the same small township as me and preaches at the church literally right across the street from my house. I’ve wanted to do this ever since I found out a few years ago.
