I used to think it's probably better than the alternative - thinking you're god's gift & being a pain in the arse ego tripper. That's the wrong way to look at it entirely.

If it comes as surprise folk you meet are so down to earth, magnanimous & lovely you miiiight just have got a little cynical. Chin up bish & pay attention - you really are deserving of people being so nice.
It bothers me I have to be reminded of this so often.
