Last week marked another anniversary for the D&D campaign I've been running. Somehow, with everything going on, we've kept the game going for 5 years. And being true to themselves, despite all evidence the end-game is in sight, the PCs tried to invent a side quest for me to run on the fly. 😅😂

In September and October 2019, my AP Biology students were the primary research technicians for an experiment with a small team from KU, and scientists in Switzerland and Germany.

Through a LOT of work from our partners at KU+abroad, a manuscript for the project my AP Biologists worked on throughout the 2019-20 SY has been submitted for publication. Doubly cool to get to work on the writing process with one of our students.
Now we wait (hopefully w/o the pandemic this time 😅)

Our F1 did a really good job competing in county spelling bee. Proud of how she prepared, handled the pressure of standing in front of an auditorium full of strangers, and supported her comrades on the stage. Ended up as runner-up in the Bee but #1 in my heart (por supuesto ☺️).

I "Skyed" this only so @michaelcralph.bsky.social would see my post, and to see if he has read this paper and wants to talk to me about it. I will now disappear into the ether again for an unquantified amount of time.
