The cold, hard reality of having eaten your monkey-friend's face off: Mum might make you wear it briefly while giving you a stern telling off.

To borrow a line from Rafiki: It is time.
I pledged Alice's book idea waay back in June of 2023 and hoped and hoped it would happen. Through tumult and the very worst courier (evri), here we are @alicefraser.bsky.social you did the thing!

Favourite tiny garden bird? Hands down it's gotta be the long tailed tit.

Definition of a silly mithering goose: given a half acre of good pasture absolutely heaving with sneaky places to build an unfindable nest, this hissing misery-pigeon chooses to wedge herself between two clapped out fences and build a shambolic little tumulus of stupidity and rage.

A year or so ago I plopped a broken echeveria head in an old candle pot and virtually forgot about her. She has thrived, thrown out a load of little offsets, and is now showing off her fancy new headgear.
Lesson: ignore your succulents more, and ideally plant them in glass candle pots (apparently).

Love this from APHA. I am in breach of the law if I feed my birds without cover that prevents wild birds accessing the food. I should probably tell the huge red spruce that fell in the storm yesterday that it needs to un-crush my feed hutch, or I starve my livestock then... 'sake.
