Trying something new: meatball pot roast, inspired by a TikTok recipe.
Four small russets (skin on), 1/2 a bag of baby carrots, 3/4 of a bag of frozen meatballs, couple handfuls of frozen chopped onion, & a metric ton of garlic, plus pot roast seasoning mix made w/ chicken broth instead of water.

Also I figured out she’s the one who keeps messing up the blankets on Remi’s bed. I thought maybe it was from them roughhousing on the bed, but nope. I should’ve known it was her since she prefers to snuggle under the blanket on my lap & her hiding spot of choice is under the blankets on my bed.

Fig puts up with so much from me. The first time I put it on her, she backed right off the bed but jumped right back up and let me do it again. Fable said absolutely not and took off when I tried to to put it on her. 😆

I thought about getting candy for trick-or-treaters this year but I’m glad I didn’t because I haven’t seen a single child other than Remi in the neighborhood either last night or tonight.
Side effect of living on the highway at the edge of town, I guess.

I thought about getting candy for trick-or-treaters this year but I’m glad I didn’t because I haven’t seen a single child other than Remi in the neighborhood either last night or tonight.

It’s Remi’s birthday AND Fig and Fable’s gotcha day AND a friend’s anniversary today. Easy day to remember. 🤣
Remi got to see the “ocean” (gulf) for the first time this weekend because Summer’s boyfriend surprised them with a trip to Mobile, and the kitties got a Churu this morning to celebrate.

Mom still had like $900 on her FSA to use up by the end of the year, so tonight we went to Walmart and went up and down every single health aisle looking for anything and everything we might use.
