I know what I'll be listening to while I work today then!
"I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."

We're glad it came to you, Frodo; we're glad it happened because the film that began one of our (if not THE) favourite trilogies of all time, THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING, released in the UK 24 years ago.

Question: When ordering your DVDs, do you put your franchises together, or separate them out in alphabetical order?

It's not every day you wake up to an email from Flash! ⚡️ Ah-ah!

And while I'm thinking about it, is there a reason local councils aren't going around and removing all the flags that have been put up? Looks like most have been attached with zip ties, nothing a small pair of cutters wouldn't solve.

Urgh! What's with all the spam emails recently? I feel like someone has sold off my work email to literally everyone, and now I'm just getting junk mail after junk mail.

Me: It’s late. I’m knackered. I should really go to bed.

My book: Just a few more pages?

You know it's Friday when all you can think about is finding a Sinatra tribute who can record at short notice!

I've forgotten to bring my headphones to work today. The background chatter feels a little too much today.

What started out as a trip to see The Dark Knight at Cineworld’s Nolan season with the eldest has now turned into a double bill with Batman Begins. You never know, if he likes them both we may make it the trilogy!

It’s been a while since I watched Interstellar and genuinely forgot how incredible this movie is. A perfect 5 stars. I don’t remember crying as much as I did this time round either.

Can’t wait for The Dark Knight on Sunday.

Having a second listen to the new #Superman score to see if it sits better second time around. I've not seen the film yet, and maybe it's just one of those scores that work better in the movie. Or maybe I'm too old school. Let's see if a second listening helps.

Anyone else had a listen yet?

My plan is to fill my office with gaming soundtrack goodness today, but I want some recommendations of some hidden gems I may not know about, though I intend to get @bearmccreary.bsky.social's God Of War, #TakeshiFurukawa's The Last Guardian and #JoelMcneely's Shadows of the Empire.

Not a bad #recordstoreday2025 haul in the end. A couple of a John Williams additions to my vinyl soundtrack collection. I was hoping to get the first Harry Potter too but was pipped to the post by someone ahead of me in the queue.

I'm battling with the notion of being up and in town for 5am to stand in a queue for #RSD2025 for 3 hours. Is anyone else thinking of braving the early morning queues?

I’ve narrowed my to read shelf down to these two books to take away with me on my hols based on length and amount of time I expect to get to read. Not too long, not too short, but can’t decide between these two. Help me out #booksky

Godkiller or The Colour of Magic?

I was fairly excited that Alan Silvestri was doing the soundtrack to The Russo Brother's The Electric State, but after having a listen, it felt a little bit 'Silvestri by numbers'. I may need to give it a another listen to make sure I wasn't blocking out the good bits with work.

It's been a heck of a week work-wise, and it's not finished yet, so I'm going to have a full bar of chocolate and no one is going to stop me!

Picked out my next read, Samantha Harvey’s Orbital. It was a recent Xmas gift, and having just finished Dune Messiah, I wanted something short I could squeeze in before I moved on to something else.

Currently reading this and only just realised that as I’m reading it I’ve got the recent movie actors faces in my head playing it out. I really should put on the soundtrack too!
